this collection was inspired by decaying metal - the idea that time on Earth can change an object (or a person) to look different and even more precious and unique within the layers of change. there is still the Mr. Kate whimsy too with the Spork necklace series - the idea that a spark becomes a wearable artifact after years of decay…when were they popular, the 80's? all pieces are hand-sculpted by moi, Kate, out of wax and then cast and molded for reproduction.
