DIY Dog Treat Bar

Posted by MrKate on

Every pet parent believes that their furry friend is 100% cute enough to be Insta-famous, and the same goes for Mia Stammer and her corgi Ken, except with one caveat — he actually is! With over half a million Instagram followers, Ken has wiggled his way into the hearts of many ... so of course he deserves his own dog treat bar as part of Mia's major bohemian living room makeover!

Here's how to make your own!

Prep It:

Photos of your pet (photoshoot optional, since I'm sure you have plenty on your phone!) Frames Thrift store trays, bowls, and cups Apothecary jars Basket Various dog treats and toys

Do It!:

  1. Get your photos printed at a drug store or similar store like Target or Walmart that offers inexpensive photo prints!
  2. Frame your pics and hang them on the wall above the bar.
  3. Set your trays, dishes, jars, and bowls out on the top of the bar and fill with the yummy dog treats. Keep in mind the kind of pooch you have! If your dog is bigger and can jump high, keep all of the treats covered. If your pup is smaller, like Ken is, it's okay to have them out!
  4. Fill a basket with the inedible dog toys and put it under the bar. You can also place a few cute, favorite dog toys on the top of the bar with the treats!
