flea market finds and gift ideas

Posted by MrKate on

i went to the flea market this past Sunday with my sister, Tess, to browse and get some interior decor items for a client and for an upcoming DIY TV appearance. while browsing i snapped some pics of things that looked delicious - like these old letterpress stamps! how cool would these be to make custom cards or gift wrap!?

moral of the story: think about getting some of your holiday gifts from the flea market!...

my sister trying on a couple necklaces (you also may catch a glimpse of a brand new and soon-to-be-released Mr. Kate piece!). these beads are from the African guy who imports them from Kenya. i love the mix of metals! they're all handmade too.

look at this fantastic matching set of vintage luggage! if i traveled by boat everywhere i would sooo get these. but the little make-up case would make a great jewelry box and a gift for someone.

sometimes at the flea market they have vintage re-enactments. these are re-makes of vintage frames but i wouldn't throw a pair of these out of bed.

more stamps! i love all the fonts and how they're organized in the old letterpress holder. this is a piece of art in itself!
