flea market finds: crowns, jeans and farmhouse chic

Posted by MrKate on

You know I love a nice romp at the flea market and this past sunny Sunday was no different! Joey and I browsed the stalls and I bought some new beads to play with for jewelry designs. We met a girl who reads the blog and was there to get patio furniture for her outdoor room, inspired by our office re-do. I love meeting you readers so please don't ever be shy about saying hi if you see me out and about, I love to meet new peeps!

Here are some of my flea market faves and things to look out for at your local flea market or if you're in LA and browsing the Melrose Trading Post! Above is an array of solo stud earrings. I love wearing mis-matched earrings and that's how I designed many of my stud earrings in the shop!

Vintage apothecary bottles are everywhere at flea markets and make great home accents for bud vases, etc.

A whole hoard of flower crowns - DIY your own with one of these tutorials!

Cut-offs on cut-offs on cut-offs! The mecca of vintage jean shorts - did you see my round-up of my favorite cut-off shorts for Summer?

My hand holding a jewelry piece of a hand holding a jewel. I love all the vintage brooches at flea markets - use one to dress up a tired purse!

A row of storage jars with mustache handles!

Vintage books add so much style and interest to an interior space - I love all the colors too.

After the flea we stopped at Palihouse on Melrose and I couldn't resist sitting on this amaaahzing vintage sofa - I figured it's still on theme with the flea market. The interior design at Palihouse is rad, check it out if you're in town!

Really old, beaver-lined, tophat and other goodies.

Farmhouse living!

Which watch would you wear?
