gift idea attic journals

Posted by MrKate on

this is the first in a series of posts i want to do for Holiday Gift Ideas a la Mr. Kate! of course Mr. Kate jewelry is always a perfect gift too! (shameless plug)

i love journals. i have a ton. i usually only fill up about a quarter of my journals before i get too excited and move on to the next one. however, this blank paged sketch journal by Attic Journals i've had for a while! this is the one i use to sketch all of my jewelry designs (above see my original design sketches for the Bow Crown Ring and Worm Ear Cuff) . i love the blank pages and the spiral binding which allows me to flip it open and use anywhere as it's own hard surface.

Attic Journals ...made from books long forgotten is this fantastic business run and operated by Michelle, Miquel and Chicken the Dog. they hand make all of these one-of-a-kind journals out of old books! very eco-friendly too with the re-purposing of old things. i love how they even include a few pages of the old book in the beginning of the journal. mine is a book in french that even has an address written in pencil on the first page, so cool! they're very well-priced at around $15 per journal and would make a unique and special gift for this coming holiday season. shop them here. or of course you can always gift yourself too!
