LA market week: showroom design and outfits

Posted by MrKate on

it's Market Week in LA which means all the showrooms in Downtown are hosting buyers from stores all over to come and shop wholesale to stock their stores! above is the Mr. Kate section in ONE Showroom in the Lady Liberty building. Joey and i set it up using this old built-in shelving unit that ONE Showroom owner Kristen, found in the basement of the building. it's kind of a mix of rustic, nautical and classy with the black and white. we got a dried grapevine from the floral district to add a sculptural element... if you're a buyer, go check out our set-up at ONE!

another fun thing i did for Market Week was dress up for the Cooper Design Space #BloggerPreviewJan13. a group of bloggers got to go around to different showrooms and pick out an outfit. we were then photographed and the photos were blown up to 7 feet tall and hung in the entrance lobby of the building... i think it's the tallest i will ever be.

here are some pics we snapped from the day of browsing for outfits...some worked, some didn't...but it was all fun!...

for my Blogger Preview outfit i chose: an Ella Moss dress, Tracy Reese belt and Twenty8Twelve jacket.

for my browsing outfit: Zara shorts, drugstore tights, Tsubo x Timo Weiland shoes, Forever 21 tank, Urban jacket, Mr. Kate jewelry!
