i am so thrilled to announce the release of the Mr. Kate Spring/Summer 2013 Collection! as you can see, this new collection features jewelry as well as the introduction of our first accessory/apparel pieces i.e. the Mr. Kate Scarf #001 and Sea Nymph Tank.
the textures and shapes of the collection are inspired by seahorses - i'm fascinated by their delicate yet spiny texture. the jewelry pieces are available in three different gold tones and there are two necklace styles that feature either turquoise or white howlite beads mixed with custom Mr. Kate metal fin pendants and handmade beads.
the Scarf #001 is a fun Mr. Kate twist on a traditional silk scarf a la Hermes - but we took printed jewelry on silk up a notch by featuring a massive pile of Mr. Kate jewelry on luxurious 100% silk charmeuse.
the Sea Nymph Tank is a tank that i want to live in every day! it features a shimmery print of the fin pendant (from the Sea Nymph Necklace) on either side of an incredibly soft and slouchy white tank. dress it up or wear it casually!
the lookbook we shot with Mr. Kate favorite photographer Kat Borchart with hair and make-up by Allie Lapidus and incredible modeling by Milan. i was inspired to use pops of fun make-up and nail color to highlight Milan's beautiful face and skin and of course, the jewelry!
