OOOOOOOOOMMMMMMGGGGGGG we're baaaaack!!!! We saw all your many comments requesting the return of OMG We Bought A House and we listened! We're so thrilled to bring you OMG We Bought A House Season 2! This house has been ours for a little over a year now so we know exactly what we want to renovate, update and decorate to make it our perfect first home.
If you missed Season 1, recap here: OMG We Bought A House and come along on our journey of Season 2 coming at you this Spring/Summer every other week!
The exterior of the house we want to paint, get a new front door, build a more protected front wall and re-landscape.
We love our living room! The chimney still needs to be fixed but I actually really like the candles in the fireplace for now. See more of the living room transformation here... remember those scary mustard baby poop walls!?
We want to re-do the kitchen countertops, oven hood and floors and maybe maximize the space if possible with some construction.
We love our dining room and it's functioned very well over this past year - I even wrote a lot of A Hot Glue Gun Mess - Funny Stories, Pretty DIY Projects (the Mr. Kate book) sitting at this table! See more from this room re-do here.
Joey randomly got an electronic drumset that he never plays so hopefully that can move out of the guest room and into the garage.
The master bathroom I'm dyyying to re-do. This room is definitely top of my list. I want a new vanity, shower, windows and pretty much everything!
We've started bringing in some furniture in the bedroom including a bed and some side tables. We had been sleeping on a bed frame that rolled all over the floor so I finally picked out this Josephine bed from Restoration Hardware (similar one here from Overstock) and the nightstands were from, One Kings Lane.
The two lamps we decided on were from Lamps Plus: my side geometric gold with white shade & Joey's side gold glass base with black lizard print shade.
We need to get our new ceiling light up to cover that scary hole! It's been too long!
Our bedding is from Restoration Hardware as well (similar striped options from Serena & Lily)
The garage obviously needs work. We've been storing all our random DIY supplies, old thrift store finds and god knows what else in there and it's definitely time to organize and purge!
Outfit Deets:- lace top: Topshop (similar here)
- dress: Nasty Gal (similar here)
- shoes: Zara (similar here)
- Mr. Kate jewelry: Meteor Cuff
The pergola is a magical space and we've enjoyed some meals and peaceful hangs with friends and family out here over the past year. See more of this transformation here!
What do you think? What do you want to see us cover in the upcoming episodes? We'd love to hear from you below in the comments. Yaaaay!!!
