OOTD: cool blue poking through

I can't believe we're halfway through Summer already! Nordstrom Rack (now also online) inspired me to do some mid-Summer deal hunting and I'm tres stoked with my finds! I've channeled some Summer trends in this outfit via these snazzy, pointy-toed, gladiator-esque shoes (by L.A.M.B. - Gwen Stefani's brand I've always lusted over but have never owned a piece until I happened upon these shoes 42% off! Bam-a-lamb!). I always love a cut-out opportunity and this lightweight, eyelet sweater (by Elizabeth and James racked down from $245 to $59.97 WHAT!?) is perfect to let a pop of cool blue peek through and add a classic touch to my muted grey, textured shorts. A sweater like this is also a great transition piece into Fall/back-to-school worn with a long-sleeve shirt underneath instead of a tank. Exaggerated sunglasses top off this look and I've also been obsessed lately with streamlining my usual giant bag down to just a wallet clutch that fits my moola, phone and lip balm and this PETA approved, cobalt blue baby is perfect paired with my Mr. Kate BeautyMarks in black!
