parmesan cheese (kinda) a recipe

Posted by MrKate on

this is a great recipe for a crunchy salty topping to put on anything! it tastes very similar to parmesan and it's so good for you! use it on salads, pizza, pasta, steamed veggies, you name it! and it keeps well so make a big batch and store in a cool place for weeks. my mom turned me on to this recipe and we adapted it to our liking.

Mr. Kate Parmesan Cheese (kinda) Topping Recipe (vegan)

what you'll need: - 2 cups of raw brazil nuts (you could use any nuts but brazil nuts have a great creamy taste - read more about their health benefits here) - 3 to 4 tablespoons of nutritional yeast - a vegan's best friend in getting that "cheesy" taste - 1 tsp of sea salt - 2 tablespoons of lemon or lime juice or both

make it: - finely chop the brazil nuts by hand or in your food processor (i have a tiny one like this) - in a bowl combine the chopped nuts, nutritional yeast, lemon juice and salt and mix it up - sprinkle and eat! yummmm
