my dad has this rather creepy portrait in the entry way of his house. she likes to watch you wherever you go, and if i'm alone in the house, i usually choose a different route to avoid her gaze. Tess and i decided to take some photos next to her royal creepiness. i don't know the history of this painting but if i had to guess, i'd say its Baroque. Charles Dickens once said "there are only two styles of portrait painting: the serious and the smirk"...i think she's sportin' a smirk.
