From: Bonni Your Question: I am absolutely obsessed with vintage "Secretary Blouses" aka "Ascot Blouses" aka "Pussy Blouses" I am looking for some fresh ideas to rocking them in my wordrobe......What say you? :) My Answer: Bonni! First of all, to probably most people readin this, I knooooow, I can't believe they're called that either! But it's true, blouses with a tie or ruffles are called secretary blouses, ascot blouses or pussy blouses because, I don't know...they kind of look like vaginas! Pussy blouses are great little feline tops that can be styled a lot of different ways. By first glance, these types of blouses are very girly and vintage looking. For the first outfit, I honored that girly-ness by pairing one with a flared skirt and for the second look, I went edgy with my pussy blouse. Both of these pussy blouses I got at the Salvation Army - thrift stores are full of them! I hope these looks inpsire you to get creative with your pussy...blouses ; ) xo

Pussy Blouse Outfit #1:

I paired a polka dot pussy blouse with a floral patterned skirt for a mixed print look. I added more funk to the outfit by pairing socks with my sandals - if you like this look see this post for more Socks and Sandals looks. Overall this look is girly but still unique... it feels very Carrie Bradshaw.. what do you think?

Pussy Blouse Outfit #2:

For this second look I wanted to juxtapose the girly-ness of the blouse with worn, cuffed jeans and a blazer. The hat gives an extra edge as does the side-swept, messy, low ponytail and my favorite Sorceress Earrings in oxidized silver.

Which look is your favorite? How do you style your pussy blouse?
