Open Faced Grilled Cheese Squares

• whole grain bread
• daiya (dairy free) cheese
• pitted kalamata olives
• cherry tomatoes
• fresh basil
• salt/pepper

1. toast the bread
2. sprinkle the cheese
3. place a basil leaf in all four corners of the toast
4. place half of a kalamata or half of a cherry tomato on each leaf
5. salt and pepper to taste
6. broil in the oven or a toaster oven on low until the cheese melts
7. slice into quarters

• toaster waffles
• jar of apple sauce
• frozen blueberries
• maple syrup
• dairy free sour cream

1. toast the waffle
2. heat up the apple sauce and the frozen blueberries in a small saucepan
3. sweeten with a splush of maple syrup
4. spread the warm fruit compote on the toasted waffle
5. place 4 evenly spaced dollops of sour cream
6. slice into triangle quarters

• leather or colorful twine or ribbon
• feathers or tassels
• beads
• hair clip
• glue gun
• scissors

1. cut pieces of leather, twine or ribbon about the length of your hair, maybe a little longer - usually three look good together at slightly different lengths. twine can be braided to create thicker strands.
2. glue the pieces to the hair clip - making sure not to glue the hair clip closed
3. string beads at the bottom of the leather or twine pieces - secure with glue inside bead hole to keep from sliding
4. glue feathers or tassels at the base of some or all of the leather or twine pieces
