these things are supposedly the latest rage with the kids...and by kids i mean like grade school kids. my friend Natalie stopped by my office space yesterday to buy some jewelry, she's very supportive of Mr. Kate, thanks Nat! and she was wearing these little guys. on, they just look like wavy rubber bands but then you take them off and they spring into an elephant, penguin, dolphin, etc. shape!...kinda really very cute!
it reminded me of when i was in high school (a long, long time ago, sigh) when i used to wear these rubber bands as bracelets that said things like "happiness" and "versatility"... i think i got them at Fred Segal's so they were probably stupid expensive for rubber bands that said deep things, could have accomplished the same with a sharpie. anywazzzz, i went searching at home to find a rubber band bracelet to layer with other bracelets (beads from Africa, Nut Bracelet and Worm Cuff) and all i came up with was a fat purple one that said "organically grown produce of USA," which i guess i am, so it's appropriate.
