tonight was the premiere of Burning Palms at the Newport Beach Film Festival. it is a film i'm in, i've blogged about it before and here is the teaser. i drove down (about an hour away) with Joey and Rachel. we almost couldn't find the theatre because it was in this huge outdoor mall. we parked and walked through Nordstrom, i felt really overdressed.
Joey and i had seen the film already, (it's really great and dark and everyone should see it when it's out) but i was excited to see what Rachel, who is an amazing writer, thought of it.... and she liked it! she laughed and said it was also disturbing, which is so right on. the screening was so full they had to add another showing of it tomorrow at 5:45pm...so if anyone lives in NB, go see it!
they took photos of me in front of the step and repeat, as well as interviewed me for some Newport Beach thing... not quite sure what. joey snapped these photos on his iphone, as well as the one of Rachel and i after the film. he also snuck one of the end credits.
