Can you believe that it's been 4 years since Joey and I actually bought a house and OMG We Bought A House was born?! Time flies when you're on that creative weirdo grind!
Incentivized by the spirit of change (and the season of sales — Black Friday, calling out to you), we recently decided to redecorate our living room to reflect our current tastes, and to include furniture that we think will work better in the space based on our living experiences.

Starting at the very beginning — when we moved into our home, the walls were painted this ... unappetizing yellow-brown color.
But, with a coat of fresh white paint, some DIYs, ands a lot of decorating, our living room looked pretty much like this for the past few years! 
This time, we opted to paint the far wall a faded black (paint details below!) and a few key pieces of furniture (which you can shop ... also below!)

Remember when it looked like this when we first bought it!?
Instead of replacing these entire pieces, I painted the wooden shelves a crisp white to stand out off of the black wall! It now looks like a totally new piece!
