One family, two videos, four rooms .... $1000? Yep, that was our budget for an entire home makeover for Griselda, Steve, and their sons Caleb and Sebastian. We took on a living room, kitchen, master bedroom, and bedroom for the boys while trying to bring the home into a more engaging space for their growing sons.
Watch the video above to see how it came together and make sure to check out part one as well to see how we found all the furniture for under $700!
A big consideration for the kids room was making it a space that allowed their elder son to grow up and have a proper bed, while still being a playful and open space that their younger son could move into too eventually!
A big budget-saving tip is to use less paint and just paint a mural instead of the whole wall!
Now onto the master bedroom! The biggest challenge here was that Griselda and Steve had a king sized bed that took up most of the width of the room, so we played into it and built a platform bed stand with built-in side tables!
The dining nook was a previously underused space, so we utilized it and solved Griselda's desire to take the dining table out of the living room!
The living room previously had a serious case of wallitis, so we needed to start from scratch with an entirely new layout!
