Welcome to the first decorating video of 2017! The beginning of each year is a great opportunity to refresh your life and home — and what better place to start than your bedroom?
Your bedroom should be a place of calm, where you can decompress, rest, and get inspired for the day ahead of you. I find that a minimalist, decluttered space is best for entering the day on a refreshed and soothing note, so each of these rooms plays with different takes on a minimalist aesthetic.
Watch the video above, and check out more pics, shopping links, and DIYs for each room below!
Look 1: Tapestry Tumblr Chic
Playing off of the subtle pink hue of the wall, this bed is a soft rose color. Forgoing a bedspread gives it a simpler, less heavy look (though you could always add one on for the colder months as needed!) But the star of this bed is clearly the DIY Tapestry Headboard, a great solution for people love a headboard look but aren't ready to commit, or want a more wallet-friendly, DIY-able option!

Look 2: Masculine Minimalist
I get a lot of questions from viewers about how to design a space for a guy, or with a more masculine vibe, and I have to recommend minimalism all the way! You can make just as big of a statement using fewer items, especially if you choose interesting sculptural pieces like this awesome wall lamp! Top it off with a nice art print, and this is a room that would give anyone good dreams.

Look 3: Eclectic Elegance
If you're looking for a more traditional bed, a tufted headboard will never do you wrong! There are endless options to purchase, though DIY-ing one is probably more friendly to your savings. This room has lots of eclectic, interesting elements, but balances everything out with an easy symmetry. What's not to love?
