second Mr. Kate eco-chic DIY'd Valentine's card for $0! this one is a bit more 'romantic' aka 'erotic(?)' than the playful one... you need: a page from an old book - preferably worn-in with words that could lend themselves to romance, a piece of discarded cardboard (i used some from an old shipping box), red lipstick, glue and a red pen or pencil...

cut the cardboard to the size of the book page and glue them together (to thicken the card). using your colored pencil or pen, underline any words that, taken out of context, may sound romantic or erotic. i used a page from an old Esquire magazine essay compilation book (i got at a flea market for $1) and there were some good words!

after you're done underlining, find a good place on the page to stamp a kiss mark by putting the red lipstick on and giving the page a nice big kiss! you could also sign it, etc. but i kept mine simple and mysterious.

ta da! a unique and sexy Valentine's card with a vintage flair and a little hidden message in the words!
