When we moved into the office, our lunchtime routine hit an unforeseen snag. After installing such gorgeous desks and tables, we were all hesitant to eat on them in case there was spillage, stainage, or worst of all — permanent smellage. But we couldn't well eat on the concrete floor, so a solution was needed — pronto.

What a cute solution we found! These tile trays are not only the best thing to happen to lunchtime Instagrams since avocado toast (which, ironically, is what we photographed on them for this story!), they're perfectly sized for each person's workspace, easy to clean, and just as problem-free to create. Check out the DIY below!

Do it!:

  1. To create your individual trays, turn over the tile so the smooth side faces down. Apply a felt pad to each corner and press down gently to make sure they're secure.
  2. Flip back over, set with food, flowers, coffee, whatever! Make as many or few as you need — they look great stacked up for storage purposes!
