i almost always DIY my cards, whether for birthdays, holidays, etc. it's cheaper, more fun and more meaningful to receive a handmade card. this year for DIY #8 of Mr. Kate's 12 DIYs of Chrismahanukkahkwanzaasolstice i made cards using: nail polish, embroidery thread, paint samples and wraphia and rhinestones to embellish!
Paint Sample Cards:
- collect some free paint chip samples from your local paint or hardware store, cut them out and glue them onto a blank card!
- use embroidery thread color(s) of your choice and an embroidery needle to sew over a light pencil outline of whatever design you want!
Nail Polish Painted Cards:
- i used press-on letters to get the text and then made a line and box design with various fun nail polish colors from my bathroom cabinet!
