Our next Breaking Beige candidate is louder than life, aspiring rapper, Cassie. She recently moved back in with her parents and is depressed about the state of her bedroom (see pics below and in the video above) so our goal is to completely refresh the space (yup, those walls and dirty carpet) and infuse some much needed personality into the space. I want it to be a funky yet luxurious swaggy swank pad!

DIY Refreshed Vintage Sideboard/Dresser
Cassie is using plastic bins to store her clothes so we're going to give her a new dresser for storage with style! We found this amazing sideboard at a thrift store so all it needs is a coat of pretty paint to look like new!
Do It!:
- Remove the drawer/cabinet pulls using a screw driver.
- Sand the dresser to remove any clear protective coat or peeling/chips.
- Wipe off dust with a damp cloth
- Paint a couple coats of paint with a built-in primer - we used BEHR Premium Plus Ultra Paint in Cloudy Sky. You can use a roller for the big areas and a brush for the nooks and crannies. Let dry!
Stay tuned next week for part 2 to see how we transform this space!
I love this photo of Cassie from our photoshoot! I'm planning something fun with it for her room.
Stay tuned to see what we have planned for Cassie and this trash can!
