this past week i hit up one of the happiest places on earth...Ikea! i do love me some Ikea, it's hard to beat for basic on-the-cheap furniture and loads of other things. i also think it's pretty easy to work around and infuse with your own style so it doesn't look too 'Ikea.' in my own place we mixed Ikea stuff with antiques, thirft/flea finds, removable wall paper and Anthropologie rugs, see it here. for my friend Ben i was able to get a mod look with lots of Ikea stuff. there are also sites like Ikea Hacker that have ideas for how to re-vamp Ikea furniture for a more custom look.

my latest projects incorporating Ikea stuff are: my Mr. Kate office space and my friend Daniella's new cute hollywood studio apt....stay tuned for before and after photos of those two dealios. above are the photos of our trek to the big blue and yellow box this past week, where we got 6 carts worth of goodies...we were superwomen! this is my inspiration board for my office space and for Daniella's we're doing colorful/cozy/luxurious/bohemian...yeah, it's possible!

the first photo is a sneak peek from D's place... yeah, i love me some colorful frames!
