DIY Floral Jute Wall Medallion

Posted by MrKate on

Here's a new way of looking at things — a rug is basically a tapestry for your floor. If you had the space, the means, and the determination, you could hang just about any rug on your wall as a cool bohemian tapestry. Taking that into mind, I bedazzled this small jute round rug with some faux flowers and hung it as a DIY medallion. Because when it's a rectangle it's a tapestry, but when it's round ... #whynot call it a medallion?! Check out the DIY steps below!

Prep It:

Round jute rug Faux flowers Hot glue

Do It!:

  1. Remove the heads of the faux flowers from their stems and play around with an arrangement that you like on the jute rug.
  2. When you've decided on an arrangement, use the hot glue to adhere the flowers to the rug. If the glue is not holding the flowers in place, consider using wire to weave through the holes in the rug and tie them into place.
  3. When the glue is dry, hang your rug and watch it become a boho wall medallion before your eyes!
