DIY Money Shadowbox Art

Posted by MrKate on

We're not just making it rain ... we're making it rain money art!!

These shadowboxes were DIY-ed to hang in the offices of some productive agents, so I wanted to give them a cute, tongue-in-cheek reminder of what they're working for (besides ambition and personal success!)

Check out the how-to steps for this money-making DIY below!

Prep It:

Shadowbox frame Fake money (unless you're a billionaire and want to do this for real!) Optional: paint, paintbrush to paint frame backing

Do It!:

  1. Remove the back from your shadowbox. If you'd like to have a colored backing, paint it now and set aside to dry.
  2. Crumple up the fake money and start to fill in the shadowbox. You'll have to gauge how full it will look when hanging vertically, but you can always open it up and add more money later!
  3. If you'd like to add another prop, like this old school calculator, add it in, and restore the backing to the frame.
  4. Hang, and enjoy your well-earned (get it?!) view!
