for cereal

i've been so busy with so many things to do, i'm pretty spread thin these days, but i wanted to blog today so here's a quick blog about a DIY custom cereal mix!

breakfast is a really important meal, the most important some say... i never go without it. i usually have a slice of sprouted grain toast with earth balance spread, or lately, now that it's summer, a nice cold cereal is a great way to start the day.... and yes, i have necklaces to match!

the problem with many packaged, dry, cold cereals is that they have a lot of additives including cane sugar, which i try to stay away from whenever possible. so instead, i make my own cereal mix! i like the Arrowhead Mills Puffed Cereal, very affordable at Whole Foods. they have all different puffed grains (sold separately) but i buy a sampling and mix them all together so i have a tailor-made cold cereal that i drizzle maple syrup on and eat with either rice or almond milk. YUM! the photo shows the layering of puffed millet, kamut, and corn but i suggest mixing in the bag before serving...
