gothic tarzan

obviously obsessed with my bow barrettes but the piece de resistance are my new boots!...yeah, they totally breath, through the lace holes. i love them and believe it or not they're so comfortable and sooo easy to walk in! i think they're '70's(ish) but my sister saw me in this outfit and said i looked like a gothic schoolgirl... that's why i like personal style, you can explore new frontiers through outfits....i never was a gothic schoolgirl.

DIY TARZAN DRESS: this little dress/top is what i call my Tarzan dress and it's a perfect DIY for those of you who, like i, don't really sew and have a short attention span for hemming clothes. basically this happened by accident when i bought this dress at Target and it was an awkward length so i cut it short at an angle but oooopsie i cut it too short! sooo, i shredded one of the pieces i cut off with the scissors and safety pinned it back on to the too short side of the dress with the safety pins on the inside, disguised by the over-lap of fabric, and let the torn shards hang down, like Tarzan's torn loincloth...speaking of, where do i get a loincloth?

this was another DIY messy hair-do i did by: braiding my hair in two french braids down on either side of my head and wrapping them together in a messy bun off to one side at the nap of my neck, seriously took 2 minutes to do.

- DIY dress from target, jeffrey campbell boots, f21 sequin shorts and bow barrettes, Mr. Kate Worm Fossil Body Chain, Bow Ear Cuff and Screw You, sister's ray bans...don't take 'em back!-
