japanese salon 3D nail art and OOTD

Posted by MrKate on

my sister Tess and i went to this radical nail art salon called ES Nail on Melrose Ave. in Los Angeles to get our nails did. this Japanese owned and operated salon boasts the most skilled nail artists in the business - these girls are truly amazing!

i went totally bonkers and had them do every nail different with tie dye, glitter and giant Swarovski crystal gems and bows - i figured, why not!? my sister went for a more toned down black and white drips, polkadots and bows look... we love how they turned out!

the price of $120 (for the most detailed nail art designs) makes manicures like these, best suited for special occasions, but the salon does offer a variety of pricing options and endless design possibilities! - check out the deets here.

they use gel polish for the color and acrylic medium to attach the 3D elements. the gems are stuck on so strong there is NO risk of them falling off - i've been bonking them all over the place and they've stayed strong and shiny! i'm gonna try to interpret these techniques in my own DIY nail art!
