new tattoo: a little girl with big ideas

Posted by MrKate on

I got a new tattoo! I've really been wanting one on the inside of my upper forearm and as usual, what to tattoo was the question? If you remember my second tattoo of "a tattoo" was born out of my desire to get a tattoo, and knowing I'd always want a tattoo but not knowing what to get, I thought literally and got "a tattoo"! For this new one, I sketched a bunch of ideas and finally settled on this sketch/design of a little girl holding a lightbulb which I titled "A Little Girl with Big Ideas"! I based the sketch off of a vintage illustration of Alice In Wonderland because I loved the style and her crazy hair but I changed her dress and face and added the lightbulb to signify the spark of creativity. This tattoo is to remind me to always have a childlike sense of wonder and keep creating!

I got my "little girl with big ideas" tattoo done by the insanely talented Dr. Woo (see his Instagram of my tattoo) at Shamrock Social Club. He is an expert in fine line tattoos and made her come to life with the smallest needle ever! The detail is incredible and it hardly hurt at all!

What do you think!? I hope you love her as much as I do!
