no-cook finger food + vegan hot dog hor d'ouevres

Posted by MrKate on

at the last minute, Joey and i decided to have some people over to watch the Oscars, this past Sunday, but i really wasn't in the mood to cook... so i quickly whipped up some no-cook, vegan, finger food!

Easy/No-Cook Mr. Kate Vegan Hot Dog Hor d'Ouevres

these sound so weird but i'm telling you they're delish and were the hit of the party! the vegan hot dogs are pre-cooked and taste great as part of this room temp dish... i promise.

What You Need:

  1. package of vegan hot-dogs - i like the Field Roast Frankfurters
  2. multi-grain crackers
  3. jar of fire roasted bell peppers
  4. spicy mustard
DO IT!:
  1. slice your hot dog in slim round slices and your bell peppers to fit the cracker size
  2. lay down the bell pepper, top with a piece of hot dog and a dollop of mustard...done!!!

some of the other no-cook food we served...

Caponata and Baguette: a jar of pre-made Trader Joes Caponata in a bowl with sliced fresh sourdough bread

Warm Olives and Oregano: a container of mixed olives heated in a pan with olive oil and sprinkled with dried oregano

Fresh Berries: bowls of fresh blueberries and strawberries - fresh and sweet!

Fancy Candy: a bowl of dark chocolate covered cherries... so easy but seems fancy

The Buffet Setting: eco-friendly paper plates and napkins in a decorative bowl from a garage sale with $5 wine and tiny glasses from Ikea.

done!!!
