funny enough, i really was feeling unmotivated to dress-up for halloween, but i got a creative spurt today after i picked up my open twig bangles from my gold plater and fell in LOVE! i have them on here in silver, rose gold, yellow gold and black rhodium. i love how they look like talons or spider legs clinging around my wrist and they are so comfortable. i will be stocking my shop with them soon, so stay tuned for that.

as for a costume, i really didn't want to spend ANY money on anything, and i was craving drawing on my face for some reason and then i realized where the subliminal inspiration was coming from.... joey and i had watched Pan's Labyrinth the other day (my second time seeing it, such an amazing film!) and i guess this fantastic creature was just stuck in my head. soooo, i set out drawing a free hand whimsical design on my face and making myself a pair of ears out of a headband, aluminum foil, duct tape and cotton balls (that i dyed with paint and shredded and hot-glued to the ear shapes). i have a funny plan for the rest of my costume using things around the house. we'll see if we even end up going out, but of course i will postey pickeys if i do!
