How do you measure a season? Is it in weekend adventures, Insta-stories, or cuddles with kittens? Well there are lots of methods, but one of my favorite ways to recap a season is by looking back on all the styles I was inspired to wear.
Blame it on the change in the weather, but spring had me shedding all of winter's layers and having fun with unexpected or retro accessories, unexpected color combos, and as many ways to wear BeautyMarks as possible! Check out my looks (and shop them all) below!
Can you tell I'm a cat lady? (Crazy sometimes included.) Real talk though: this whimsical, feline dress makes for perfect early summertime wear, especially with an added touch of sophistication from a felt hat and heels. Pair it with sandals, a bathing suit, and a top knot instead and this kitty is 100% beach ready!

Speaking of beaches ... I took to the shore with a "fresh from the ocean" mermaid look in mind. The loose white tunic was a blessing with the heat and my sandals came off easy by the water but brought a grounding edge to the ensemble on land.

The mermaid theme continues! I was in boss mode this day, overseeing a photoshoot from start to finish, so my look had to be movable, but still represent Mr. Kate as a brand and myself as a human bean! This graphic tee found its perfect match in a pair of slouchy black pants and floral flats that flaunted fun and function.

This is my take on weekend athleisure — a hooded grey sweatshirt is spiced up with a high neck white bralette and layered of silver necklaces and rose gold Freckles BeautyMarks! Off to see the sights, or to be the sight to see?

I've been spending so much time thinking about the garden of our home that I'm starting to dress like one! These *cheeky* mint shorts, when paired with a collared blouse and silver heeled booties, prove much more versatile than one would originally think! As long as your top and shoes are a little elevated, a casual pair of shorts can fly without raising any eyebrows.

Feeling wild with my return to leopard print! I topped this look with a three bun hairdo (a bun-hawk, if you will), which brought even more edge into this feline ensemble. Get the tutorial for this hairdo here!

This was an on-camera look! We recently wrapped filming Breaking Beige and I had a lot of fun putting together a very different vibe of outfits for this series. I needed looks that would allow me to get a ton of work done, but still look colorful and cute for the camera. Obsessed with the socks and beanie combo!

Another Breaking Beige look! This time, I stuck to black and white, but brought the outfit to the next level with unexpected pieces like knee-high sneakers and a belt chain!

Weekend adventurer! When out in Joshua Tree, I had to pack an outfit that I could climb rock mountains in, but would also could make an appearance on my Instagram feed. No ratty old shirts here! Instead, I went for an all black athletic look, with a felt hat on top for some sun protection and that extra Southern California flair.

Taking style notes from my hair color! When I dyed my hair pink, I found that I had an entirely new relationship with the colors in my wardrobe. I could play with tone-on-tone truly from head to toe. I just opted for a pair of pink shorts here, but it serves as a reminder that sometimes matching *is* the best idea.

Burgundy boss!! With high-waisted black jeans that tucked into black boots giving a long and lean appearance, I could balance this look out on top with a statement piece of jewelry like the Ray Necklace! No one would have to think twice about that the center of attention is in this outfit.

An ode to primary colors ... minus red (sorry, red!) The bright blues and yellows of this look are tied together with the subtle bits of white that are secondary players in each piece. Still, it's those stripes and squares that keep this outfit balanced and served as a total #lifehack for wearing primary on primary without looking like a crayola box.
