thrift store finds: party dresses

Posted by MrKate on

With the holidays coming up, party dresses are in order for some of your holiday soirées or photo-ops. Many stores will be hanging their velvet and sequined beauties in the window to entice your holiday cravings but don't forget about thrift stores! I was combing some thrift stores this week for items to use in a shoot I'm styling and I happened upon these three amazing vintage dresses. Of course I scooped them up in a sparkling flash because I am not one to resist yellow tulle and rhinestone stars! Flea market finds: badass brass home accents , A very thrifted christmas special

This amazing, floor length party dress is from the 1950's. It's a mix of satin and tulle and is so darn festive, I can't take it!

This lemon yellow number is supposedly from the 50's as well but it looks more 60's to me. The bow needs some ironing to make it perky again but I just love the color! Pair this with some gold jewelry and I'll feel like a holiday ornament!

A more simple dress made of creamy satin. It's in great shape and I love the ruching on the boobie holders (technical term). I think this with a tutu under it, to pump up the volume will, will be the perfect holiday dress!

These are my thrift store finds, what are yours? Post a photo in the comments section!
