Father's Day is coming up and I think this is such a cute and personal DIY project to make for dad! You can use any photos you like - I chose some throwback pics as well as some more current ones to transfer onto these raw wood slices. Use these slices as a photo display somewhere or they can even be coasters!

Prep It:
- raw wood pieces
- matte clear protective spray
- gel matte medium
- white school glue
- tape
- credit card
- printable labels
- sponge brush
- lazer jet or ink jet printer
Do It!:
- Make sure the wood pieces are clean and you can sand off splinters if there are any.
- Peel off the labels from the paper backing - you will be using the shiny backing sheet to print on so make sure there are no perforations.
- On the slippery side of the sheet spray with the matte protective spray. Let dry completely.
- Use the sponge brush to paint the white glue over the protective spray layer. Let dry completely.
- Edit your pictures to your liking and print them on the dried glue side of the printer label sheet. Careful not to smudge the ink. Cut out the photos individually.
- Sponge paint the matte gel medium on the wood slice liberally and while wet place the picture face down on it. Squeegee out any air bubbles with your credit card. Let dry for an hour and a half.
- Remove the backing and enjoy your newly finished photo wood slice!
