zipped-up top knot and DIY braid inspiration

Posted by MrKate on

Last week I was invited to check out Assembly Salon here in LA that specializes in braids and ponytails all for under $50! I got a braid called the "Zipped Up Top Knot" which is a french braid in the back leading up to a messy top knot.

My braid artist, Hollie (who has blue eyebrows which is super funky!), is very talented and zipped me up so quick! Assembly has a whole menu of braids, beauty treatments, massages and make-up selections...I think it would be fun to have a party there with some girlfriends!

If you read the blog, you know I love braids, this zipped up top knot is a fun one to try and check out some more of my fave braids from past posts below!...

My velvet ASOS shoes worn here, here, here, here, here, and here! I mean...they go with everything!

A gift bag of Kevin Murphy goodies!

Ziiiiiip!

And this is how you have to pose for photos when your hair looks this rad.

Braids are great in the spring/summer to beat the heat, for fun festival hair, and as a solution for dirty hair because the braids will hold better and be easier to style!

Here are some of my DIY braids:
