Colorful Room Makeover for a Good Cause

Posted by MrKate on

LAYN, our loves!! Back again after making over a group home living room for this incredible organization during Breaking Beige, we are now focusing our attentions towards the business side!

This space, which houses the mental health services team, and includes a therapy room for the kids in the organization, was a space that needs to have an incredibly important balance. It should contain privacy, protection, and productivity for the employees, but also be a welcoming and warm space for the youth who come through.

Watch how it came together above and get some design details below.

We decided to keep the layout structure of the space similar, with desks along the walls, however repurposed the center of the room into a community area!

A window in the wall of the therapy space wasn't very private, so we covered it on both sides with a canvas with a DIY paint design! Of course, this space had to honor the employees who work so hard each day to bring safety and positivity to the kids! This door features a custom decal of artwork that kids in the program have created!
