Office Goals is back! The first season was a blast, transforming Mr. Kate studios from empty and uninspired to a total creative weirdo wonderland that balanced productivity, organization, and yes, admittedly, a little play.
But we shouldn't be the only ones to have an office that is "goals" — so, this season, Joey and I are taking this operation on the road to give other local entrepreneurs and small companies workspace makeovers that will elevate them from "business" to "boss." First up is Tenzo Tea, a matcha tea company that is run out of a one room office. They needed a lot of help with storage and organization, and they definitely came ready to play (being ex-competitive volleyball giants.)
Watch the episode above and check out the before and after pictures, and interior design tips below!
These guys (and one gal) got pretty creative with their window coverings — using old boxes and beach towels to block out the sunlight. We did them one better with new bamboo shades!
Important to any interior design project is the floor plan (to inform layout, furniture placement, and proportions!) and the paint color. For this room, we channeled the green of the matcha with a subdued but still lively hue: Dunn Edwards Distant Haze. Office makeover tip! Transform a standard table into a great company meeting area with a printed decal of your logo! Reveal time!! It didn't take then Tenzo Tea team very long to feel right at home in their newly madeover office!
