Hello and welcome to the first ever Mr. Kate Design Vs. Design Room Makeover Competition!!
I've been on this interior design grind for years, and by far one of the most rewarding parts has been bringing all of the #creativeweirdos along on the journey. So, I figured it was time we let them take center stage and show off what they've learned and their own interior design style! Our contestants, Desola and Natalie, each decorated an empty living room set with mine and Joey's advice and assistance, and can I just say, I was BLOWN AWAY with their finished rooms!

Natalie went for a distinctive feminine and bohemian feel in her room. I could not get enough of this DIY wall art! Everything was so dreamy and relaxing, and everyone was very impressed by her mixing of metallics and prints with the accessories. 
Desola's room was the ultimate bachelor pad! His use of layered shades of gray, combined with gold and brass tones was super suave. He said the art he chose inspired the rest of the room design, and we were all so impressed with his innovative decision to use two of the same print and hang one upside down to make them look like a set! 
Desola was our winner for this round, but we're so impressed with both him and Natalie!! Congrats to them both!
