A kitchen island is typically thought of as big — big expense, big use of space, big investment. But hear me out! If you have the space, you can easily (and moderately inexpensively) create a kitchen island for your home in less than three steps! This DIY has a midcentury modern appeal, with a open bottom that allows you to store stools or chairs when they're not in use!
