3 pinks: favorite pink lipsticks

Posted by MrKate on

You may not think of pink for fall/winter but I think it's the perfect color to mimic that chilly flush you get in your cheeks in cold weather and makes you look like a winter wonderland fairy…a look to which I often aspire. I did this roundup from sheer pink gloss to stain and finally my absolute favorite hot pink gloss from a company called Bite Beauty that makes all natural, food grade lipsticks and glosses infused with resveratrol - the beneficial component in things like red wine that is said to be anti-inflammatory and anti-oxident. So, if you're like me, and end up eating your lipstick off your lips as the day progresses, you'll at least be getting some health benefits!

If pink lips aren't your thing, see Favorite Red Lipsticks for a roundup of my favorite red shades. And if you'd rather glam up your eyes for winter, see DIY glitter eyes!

  • First Pink: a very subtle blush glow comes from .EM by Michelle Phan's Pillow Plush Cushiony Lip Balm in "Bubblegum". It goes on so smooth and not sticky and has a subtle hint of the perfect natural pink …and smells like bubblegum!
  • Second Pink: YSL Glossy Lip Stain in 17 Encre Rose (carried at Sephora) is a more lavender pink that looks like a stain but moisturizes with a gloss. This stuff stays put but has a sheer quality that looks delicate and feminine.
  • Third Pink: Go for a pow of pink with Bite Beauty's Cashmere Lip Cream in Moscato (carried at Sephora). They do not lie with the cashmere claim, this stuff is so smooth and the pigment so rich, you feel like you're ready for the Paris streets with the first swipe of the brush applicator. J'adore this stuff!
