During the summer, I can't get enough of smoothies or watermelon! I love the ease of smoothies and all of the wonderful nutrients they have to offer, and since watermelon is about 92% water, it is one of the best ways to get your snack on while staying super hydrated.

So what better way to combine my love for the two with these ultra refreshing Watermelon Smoothie Bowls! The perfect way to beat the heat this summer while impressing your friends with all the pretty snapchats and instagrams you will be taking.

Bonus: less dishes since the mini watermelons act as your bowls!

Prep it:

Watermelon Smoothie Bowls: 1 mini watermelon 2 frozen bananas 1 cup frozen rasberries 1/2 cup unsweetened coconut milk

Note: You could also use a cantaloupe, pineapple, or coconut instead of a mini watermelon.

Topping ideas: Bee pollen (natural energy booster, high in B vitamins) Goji berries (complete protein, high in vitamin C) Unsweetened shredded coconut (healthy fat) Sliced almonds (healthy fat, vitamin E) Cacao nibs (antioxidants) Granola (crunch) Raw almond or peanut butter (healthy fat, protein) Drizzle of honey or agave (natural sweetness) Edible flowers (pretty deliciousness)

Do it!:

  1. Slice mini watermelon in half and scoop out the center, leaving about an inch of watermelon around the edges.
  2. Place frozen bananas, raspberries, and coconut milk in a blender and blend until smooth.
  3. Divide and pour smoothie contents into each watermelon bowl, then add toppings!
