No matter how you choose to celebrate the 4th of July, chances are there will be some red, white, and blue sneaking into your soiree. This American trio of colors is unavoidable in the early summer, but that doesn't mean they have to be uninvited guests!
To prove this, I recently motored over to Malibu to decorate my sister Tess' beachside patio for an upcoming patriotic party. Patriotic Patio Party! Say that three times fast! Or ... don't.
The key to this design was finding more permanent elements that brought in the blue and white combo that Tess really loves, and bringing in only touches of red for playful party purposes.
