Is it chilly in here or is it just these snowy ornaments?!
Celebrating most of my holidays in sunny LA, a beautiful, frosty white snow is far from what I'm used to come the last few weeks of December. Still, there is something so serene and lovely about nature's own glitter. So, when DIY-ing some ornaments for my whimsical Unicorn Tree, I couldn't resist adding in some ball and icicle ornaments adorned with pretty holographic snow!
There are plenty of ways to get creative with these supplies, so check out my ideas below, and get creative with your own!
Prep It:
Clear ball ornaments Icicle ornaments Buffalo snowflakes Spray adhesive Funnel
Do It!:
- There are two ways to make these ornaments, but I promise both are equally as sparkly! For the first version of the ornament, remove the cap of the ornament and use a funnel to pour some of the snowflakes inside, about 1/3 to 1/2 of the way full. Recap the ornament and watch it shine! This version only applies to the ball ornaments, so if you're working with icicles, use tactic #2!
- For the second version of the ornament, keep the lid on and hold it out in front of you (or hang it into open air) and spray on some adhesive. Let the adhesive dry for a few seconds so it gets nice and tacky, then dip the ornament into a bowl of snowflakes! Remove the ornament and gently shake off any excess snowflakes before letting it dry completely.
- If you're feeling extra adventurous, there is always a third option, where you both fill AND cover the ornament in snowflakes! This one is only for the real sparkle lovers out there (which is probably everyone that is reading this site!)
